Audrey & Chris, an amazing couple from the Northern California bay area, decided to have their wedding in one of their favorite places in the world: Hawaii! And we were there to capture their special day. Here’s their Same Day Edit film played at their reception that recapped all the great highlights during the day. Aloha and enjoy!

Kelley (owner and planner extraordinaire of Picture Perfect Events) and her groom Spencer got married in late October in an intimate ceremony with immediate family. But for their reception, they invited friends and family to gather on New Year’s Eve at the beautiful SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills to celebrate their wedding and ring in 2013. Here are highlights from the party, which featured her brother, DJ Orbit, in a deejay and drums duo performance, a wish come true for Kelley & Spencer. What better way to end (and start) the year!

Ishani & Ram celebrated their love by actually getting married BEFORE their wedding day! A few close friends and relatives were invited to a cocktail party at The Carondelet House in Los Angeles the night before their big Sri Lankan wedding at Vibiana. Little did they know they were in for a surprise as Ishani and Ram exchanged vows in a candlelit ceremony. The weekend was the best of both worlds, intimate and magnificent. A celebration as unique as Ishani and Ram themselves. Here’s a sneak peek at their upcoming wedding film. Enjoy!

To keep up with a family tradition of non-traditional First Dances, Julie Anne & Michael decided to do something very unique. They put together the runaway K-Pop hit “Gangnam Style” with the famous “Time Of My Life” dance from “Dirty Dancing”. And it showcases, yes, you guessed it… an amazing lift.

Nobody puts Julie Anne in a corner.

Lexi & BJ chose Rancho Palos Verdes as the backdrop for their wedding day, getting ready at the beautiful Terranea Resort then moving to the La Venta Inn with its stunning view of the Los Angeles coastline. Here’s a sneak peek at their celebration. Enjoy!

“Til death do us part is for quitters.”

This was on the cover of the card (along with and image of two skeletons holding hands) picked out by Joann to be given to her husband George on their wedding day. That card said everything about them. Funny, fun-loving, easy-going, and, of course, in love. So much so that death would not be the end for them.

Although they love all things island-style, Joann and George are very much about LA and the city. And having their wedding in the heart of downtown Los Angeles was very fitting. Instead of getting a hotel, J rented a urban loft (a very cool idea, by the way) which gave us some cool views of the town and a number of cool textures and details, including a stack of old vinyl records and and a working retro turntable (ask Kelley of Picture Perfect Events how excited I was to go through the albums). George got ready at Vibiana where they would return for their reception. But since Vibiana used to be the main cathedral of LA, it was also fitting that the ceremony would take place at the city’s new cathedral, Our Lady Of Angels. Throw in a visit to Disney Hall and you have a wedding film that is a good study of downtown’s beautiful architecture.

The Same Day Edit is a true reflection of this couple. Laid back, chill, and fun. Bet you can’t watch without smiling. Enjoy!

If you kept up with our blog over the years, you might remember Pia & Jeff’s engagement announcement video. It was a concept that they came up with which basically expressed that their love spanned across all time, in the past, present and the future. And Pia and Jeff’s vision for their future wedding day came to fruition at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach.

I was so excited to see Pia and Jeff again since we shot that video months BEFORE Jeff had proposed to Pia! Couldn’t wait to see what details this stylish bride & groom had put together for their wedding day.

Well, it turned out to be a beautiful Sunday morning ceremony along the Orange County coastline. And guests were treated to an incredible multi-course lunch at The Studio with views of the Pacific Ocean. The day ended on a perfect note (literally) as Jeff sang a stunning rendition of “Better Man” by James Morrison to his bride.

Congrats to the new Dr. & Mrs. Marcelo!

Here’s a sneak peek at Tina & Jon’s beautiful wedding at Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles.

Tim and Sheryn are big fans of LOST.

And like many fans of the show, they got together with friends every week for six seasons and were a part of a worldwide phenomenon. When they mentioned this to me in our first meeting about their wedding, they saw my eyes light up. It’s no secret that I am a huge LOST fan. It was my obsession for 6 years and still is my inspiration for creativity on many levels. So without hesitation, I said to them “We need to do this! For your wedding video, we need to do LOST!”

But I wanted the video to still reflect their real life love story. They had told me they had met early in college but did not start dating until they met again 8 years later. Instantly, I knew this was perfect to throw into the LOST machine of storytelling. It was the theme of the show. FATE, DESTINY… LOVE. What if your soulmate, the one person you were destined to be with… what if you never met? Would fate step in and ultimately bring you back together? The philosophy shared on the show was that WHATEVER HAPPENED, HAPPENED… and somehow history would course correct itself.

When pitching this idea to Tim & Sheryn, I knew we couldn’t do the entire show (a show about a group of survivors whose flight crashed on a mysterious island). Instead we would focus one of the many stories of LOST, one that reflected what the show was all about. The story of Desmond and Penny, and his strange (and uncontrollable) ability to travel through time was epic enough to be the basis of their concept film combined with their wedding Same Day Edit.

And so here is LOST, a love story unbound by space and time.
