“Life is a journey, not a destination” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
For Rich and Stacy, this is very true. The road to their wedding was a long one. Their love story began about ten years ago. And in that, there were a couple years of planning to make this a very special and memorable event for them and their closest friends and family. The location was Villa La Selva, a winery set deep in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. Far from any major city. Peaceful. Quiet. And thousands of miles away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, where Rich and Stacy run a very successful financial planning business. And although this was very much a destination wedding, it was never about the destination. This day, and the entire week surrounding their Tuesday evening wedding, was about creating an experience. A celebration of their love, for each other and the ones who’ve supported them, on this journey called life.
Watch the trailer for their wedding film here, to get a short glimpse of how they celebrated under the Tuscan sun. See how a dream and a vision, with a little time and planning, can become a reality.
Congratulations Rich & Stacy. And thank you for having us capture this dream of yours on film. We were blessed.
Sometimes I meet a couple and feel instantly connected to them. Such was the case with Jenny and Jason from San Francisco. Not only do we share the love for all things Disneyland, but Jason is a Star Wars geek like yours truly. And like myself, my brother-from-another-mother also likes to dance. Be sure to catch some of his moves in their wedding film trailer as he tries to impress the bridesmaids in order to see his bride, Jenny, and his surprise Justin Timeberlake inspired performance for her at the reception. J&J are crazy in love. And when you see a couple that’s chead over feet in love with each other, capturing a whole day event is a piece of cake. Thank you Jenny and Jason for some wonderful memories of the bay area and for making feel at home. A big shout out to my good friend Ryan Sarmiento for helping me and to Evonne & Darren Wong of U Me Us Studios, one of the nicest photography teams I’ve ever met.
Janet and Julius are perfect together like… Jack and Coke. Well, at least that’s part of the proposal story their priest told us during their ceremony. But these two are very much crazy in love. And to prove it, Janet and Julius strolled into their reception at the Universal Sheraton to Beyonce’s mega-hit club banger and to top it off, Julius grabbed the mic and rocked Jay-Z’s rap while guests bounced in excitement. This group knows how to party and, even more, they know how to celebrate love. Loved this wedding as I was reunited with my Dream Team teammates Ja Tecson, of Ja Tecson Photography, and Kelley Lee Gin, of Picture Perfect Events. Drink up and turn this one up. Cheers!
