Pia and Jeff approached me with a very cool concept for their Engagement announcement video. They wanted to do something out of the ordinary for their pre-wedding photos, so they came up with idea of shooting with the look of different time periods (past, present, and future) and be outfitted in the appropriate fashion for those eras. Not only would they be changing suits, dresses, and hairstyles… but they would visit several locations in Los Angeles during the day to match the architecture. Wow.

The first part of the day would be set in the 1950′s & 60′s (think Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”) shot on Rodeo Drive. Mid-day we would shoot the “present”, visiting their alma maters (and rival schools) UCLA and USC. And then finally ending up at the futuristic surroundings of the Disney Music Hall in downtown L.A.

Nelwin Uy flew in from Manila to shoot their photos (check out some of the awesome pics here) and I would take the footage shot throughout the day to create their video. Being a fan of LOST, I completely understood the idea of jumping back and forth in history and the theme of love stretching beyond the limits of time & space.

Thanks to everyone for making it a successful and fun shoot… and to Pia & Jeff for putting together something so creative and stylish. Congrats guys and I can’t wait for the wedding day!
